Protecting Public Health and the Environment.
DEQ provides free technical assistance to Idaho businesses interested in receiving site-specific pollution prevention tips. The following services can be provided:
Information shared during any technical assistance effort is confidential. DEQ's P2 Coordinator does not consult with regulatory personnel unless an imminent threat to human health or the environment is observed (not typical). The need for your business to protect proprietary or confidential process information is also taken into account.
Through a partnership between DEQ and the Idaho Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a wide range of environmental assistance is available to small businesses throughout Idaho. The Environmental Solutions Program provides a "one-stop shop" where small businesses can obtain free, confidential environmental assistance in addition to tax, labor, and other advice provided by the Idaho SBDC.
